The Only Way by Which Someone is Saved!

The Only Way by Which Someone is Saved!

Just God’s Word is the best Teacher:
The King James Bible explicitly teaches that Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved. Salvation cannot be achieved through personal merit, good works, or any other religious figure.
The New Testament highlights this truth with several foundational verses:
Acts 4:12: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
John 14:6: Jesus states, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Acts 16:30-31: When asked what must be done to be saved, the Apostle Paul and Silas replied, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:9: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
The consistent message throughout the KJV is that salvation is a gift from God, received solely through faith in Jesus' sacrificial death and resurrection.
So how does Grace Apply?
The King James Bible defines grace as God's unmerited, unearned favor toward human beings. It is the kindness God shows to people who actually deserve punishment for sin, providing salvation as a completely free gift rather than something earned through good deeds.
The Role of Grace and Faith in Salvation
In the KJV, grace and faith work together: grace is the source of salvation (God providing the gift), and faith is the mechanism (the hand that receives the gift).
Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Romans 3:24: "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."
Romans 11:6: "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
Galatians 2:16: "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ... for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Romans 5:1: "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
These passages establish that salvation is entirely a work of God's grace, leaving no room for human boasting or self-righteousness.
The Bible heavily emphasizes that God uses His Word as a powerful spiritual light to expose sin, give understanding, and guide a blind sinner toward salvation.
The KJV explicitly uses words such as "enlightening," "light," and "understanding" to describe how Scripture transforms an unbeliever's mind.
Illuminating the Heart and Mind
Psalm 19:8: "The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes."
Psalm 119:130: "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple."
Psalm 119:105: "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
Exposing the Darkness of Sin
Before a sinner can be saved, they must first realize they are lost. God uses the "light" of His law and Word to reveal a person's true spiritual condition. Through God’s Word, a person is exposed to what sin is, that everyone has sin, and that no one can live a perfect life as Jesus did!
Romans 3:20: "...for by the law is the knowledge of sin."
Proverbs 6:23: "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"
Breaking Through Spiritual Blindness
The New Testament explains that Satan actively blinds the minds of unbelievers, but the preaching of God's Word actively breaks through that darkness.
2 Corinthians 4:6: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
Acts 26:18: Paul describes his commission to preach the Word to the lost as being sent, "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God..."
Folks, we must acknowledge we Need a Savior, that we are Sinners, and no work we can ever perform will get us to heaven; It has to be by the Works of Jesus Christ alone, the Messiah!
